Soldiers don't get to pick their battles. Clearly there are folks here who do not honor the military and the sacrifices made every day. That's their shame.

Lucky for them, these kids will offer their lives up for their detractors as much as for their supporters if the need ever arises. That's the whole honor thing that escapes so many here.

A lot of us will oil our weapons if the need arises, but as you point out, it hasn't yet. We now have Homeland Security to protect the country and the military has, effectively, become the US Foreign Legion that enforces helicopter gunship diplomacy.
