I was lucky enough to gentleman who lost his arm in a car accident. He had never thought of playing golf prior to losing his arm in an auto-accident, but picked it up afterward thanks to his doctor.

He said he plays in adaptive tournaments for people with missing limbs. Was telling me about playing in his first one just before I met him. Said he always felt he did really well, considering his disability. He was teed up with a gentleman, and he told the guy he was planning on winning. The guy then crushed the ball down the fairway, and that was all she wrote. He said the guy was born without an arm, and had played golf all his life, and was a scratch golfer.

If you are hoping to meet other golfers like yourself, you might check around and see if you can't find any adaptive tournaments in your area.

Just a link I found, there are alot of different links that could be helpful.
