Like I said i'm not against leaving it the way it is, but I do think it would have a positive impact on the game if they changed it.

If I could change anything about golf, I would make it so that when you walk off the green, that hole is done, no more coming back with rule violations found hours after you play the hole. If your competitor or an official doesn't pick up on a violation before you leave the green, than it is too late. Unless of course it comes out that you willfully cheated, but no technical violations. I get that rules are rules, but I hate to hear of someone being DQ'd after the event.
