Glad you are liken' the new clubs. I wish driver was not so darned addictive either. I would do much better hitting 3w off the tee even when driver is called for. At some point I am going to have to look out at the fairway I am driving into and make a determination about how narrow or wide it is and in many cases just let the big dog go hungry for another hole.

This is especially an issue now that the season is in full swing and the rough up here is in full bloom. It is now deep and thick almost everywhere and a real penalty for the most part. You would now prefer a fairway bunker to the rough in most cases which tells you how much you want to avoid the rough right now. That is not the case in early spring or late fall.
