This is a tournament format I've really come to enjoy over the past few years - we have two events like this at my club (both a member-member and a member-guest).

If it is similar to my experience, half handicaps would be applied for nine hole matches and would work like normal (in your example, a 30 cap would be a 15 for 9 holes and would, as usual, stroke off the low handicap in the group).

As another addition, my club breaks each nine hole match into four matches - the first three holes, second three holes, third three holes and overall nine. In my experience it is an extremely fun, extremely accessable tournament format. Sign up and enjoy!
