Not sure how you could have a handicap yet as most clubs require 5 or 6 scores minimum be turned in and then it has to be reviewed and a handicap issued, that usually happens maybe once a month depending on who is doing it. I have never heard of a men's default handicap, not sure what that is.

It's an online handicap site, I am not a member of any club. The site I used gave a default handicap of 28 for any Adult Men without a current handicap.

I remember getting my first handicap after submitting 3 score cards when I was a junior (handciap was 16)
