We only use establised indexes and calculate handicaps based on the rating and slope of the 9 we are playing. I play a lot of 9 hole rounds and enter those scores into GHIN. GHIN then combines the scores to create your index. The problem is that they make no adjustment that 9 hole rounds are a lot easier than 18 hole rounds (at least for me). I have several combined scores that are
