I have a really good friend who lives in Omaha which is 3 hours south of me. There has been many times that I'll drive down there to play golf and turn around and come home afterwards. I wouldn't go that far if I wasn't able to see an old friend as well as play golf though. Normally I'll make it an overnight and hang around a while, sometimes play 2 rounds. Plus Omaha usually gets their golf season started a few weeks before us so that also entices me to do it.
