Greetings and Felicitations,

Larry Derfner is an idiot, and isn't likely to ever be cured of it.
I read the article. He makes one point that is poignant. According to him Israel attacking Palestinians is self-defense but when they fight back its terrorism.

In his own words:

Here is our idea of the "laws of war": When Israeli bulldozers rolled across the border into Gazan villages and flattened house after house so Hamas wouldn't have them for cover after the IDF pulled out, that was self-defense. But if a Palestinian boy who'd lived in one of those houses threw a stone at one of the bulldozers, that was terrorism. As long as a significant portion of the Israeli people feel this way peace will be difficult. At the same time the Palestinians keep crying about retaliation for attacks made by Israel. Fortunately there are some changes going on in the way Israel is handling the West Bank. Lets just hope it holds as they change generals.
