I have a group play with on Saturdays and they never mark their balls unless they are in or near someones line... or they will mark to pick up and re-align... and typically they will go ahead and finish up if they are within a foot or so after 1st putt... All in all, the time spent on the green is a lot less.

My Sunday group ALWAYS marks their balls regardless of location on the green and will on finish up if its a couple of inches... All in all, they spend ALOT of time on the green...

Do you guys/girls have a problem with not marking if its not in the way or immediate line of sight?

it doesn't matter to me either way but I was just curious what kind of "rules" you all play by.
My regular group plays ready golf. We don't believe in honors if you walk onto the tee box first, you tee off first. As for the greens, unless it's in your way generally no marking is being done. We're all serious golfers but we're casual about ettiquette (and spelling).
The one thing that bugs me, and I don't know why, is when a guy is walking when a shot is being made. Even if i'm about to tee off and I can't see you or hear you, please don't walk back to the cart cuz you decided to switch clubs. I guess it goes back to my days working as a caddie, no matter who is swinging, I'll stop and watch. For safety and to help find the ball later I guess.
