Peace will come when one side or the other is beaten. The problem is that the whole world is afraid to win wars these days.
Let's look back at WW II, Korea, and Viet Nam. We won WW II decisively by utterly demoralizing the Axis and look what happened to our enemies. Japan, Germany and Italy are now friends and allies.
In Korea and 'Nam, we let the politicians run the effort and fought wars of attrition, not annihilation. The end result is that Viet Nam and North Korea are not at all on our side.
Whoever decides to stop pussy footing around and take war seriously will dominate a peaceful Middle East.
