Well tomorrow the golf course closes at noon, so I plan on starting at nine and doing the full 18. they are usually pretty cool with people ending there round after they close. But who's to say that noone sneaks in after noon and plays for free? How do golf courses monitor who plays and when?
The parking lot for my home course is at the end of a dead end street. They close and lock the gate so you can't get into the lot. You could park on the street, but it would be pretty obvious if a car was parked out there. Golf course on one side of the street and a juvenile detention center on the other (visitor access to the prison is from a road on the far side - only employee access from the golf course road). Pretty easy to guess where the occupants of the vehicle are at.
