Bogey was whining, er complaining that fairway markers were off on the course he played yesterday. I think it's Bogey that is off, but anyway, the course I played only had markers at 150 and they were bushes. I know many of you use a GPS or rangefinder, but for those who don't - what type of markers do you prefer - those rounded ones in the ground, stakes on the edge of the fairway, big stakes in the middle of the fairway, markers on sprinkler heads or bushes? Also, do you think that as GPS's become more prevalent, courses will do away with markers entirely?
First off I wasn't whining, ok maybe borderline whining. Secondly when there is a sprinkler head one pace away from the 150 yard marker that says 141 I have to believe one of the two are off. Then the tee markers on one hole were 20 some yards off. I guess it's just more reason for a GPS/rangefinder that way I know where I'm at.

As for your questions I prefer the posts in the middle of the fairway or sprinkler heads. Of course that is if all of these measurements are correct and accurate.
