I have played for a couple of years on one of the amateur tours. The events are usually too expensive for what you get out of it and there are individuals playing in flights they don't belong in, like a B flight being won with a 74, that is a ridiculous score for a B flight which is supposed to be for 10 - 15 handicap. All in all it wasn't as much fun as I thought it would be. I am going to play in my club's senior championship this year and see how I do.

When I was a club member, the pro advised that I play in the open division instead of the senior division because these old guys were really good and would clean my clock...
