Six hour rounds are not the norm, but they do happen. I have played some six hour rounds. Didn't like it, complained about it, but knew it would happen again some day...and it did. Practicing flops, pitches, and chips between pre-shot routines helps to pass the time. Possibly a (cell) phone call to the pro shop asking for a refund might be in order. A good book? Of course leaving early is just as good an option as any of those I listed. Once slow play gets under your skin, and in your head, you are most likely done for the day anyway.
