Default Final Impressions of U.S. Open
I thought it was pretty good tournament. Having new faces being dsicussed by the talking heads was refreshing. And the storyline of Phil and his quest to get the trophy along with the comeback of Dvid Duval was great. It took a few days for this one to begin to feel like a real golf torunament but the last day was pretty good. I think the crowd wasnt given enough credit for making the tournament what it was. Those New Yorkers really stuck it out and in the end did get a chance to see some really good golf. I also have a new respect for the grounds crew. The biggest heroes were the members of the grounds crew. They made eveything possible. I never knew the efforts they undertake to get a coure ready. They deserve a trophy of their own.
