While I enjoyed the Open as a whole, I thought it was the worst produced sports television I've ever seen. We were so confused what was live, current, or not. They'd say "and now we go live to Tiger!" or whoever, and it wasn't live, it was highlights from yesterday or earlier that day or another year or some random thing they threw up there. It's so hard to superimpose "TAPED" in the top corner? I'd text a friend and say "did you see that shot?!" and he'd say "it's on rain delay" cause he was streaming from a different spot...lame. And the "Live Leaderboard?" If "live" now means "updated 7-10 minutes ago," sure.
A disastrous mess of trying to present a good show. They deserve the millions of dollars lost in the blow to ratings of having lost a Tiger and Phil Sunday - Fathers Day - of network golf. It was just as worth it to skip watching on Sunday altogether.
But, not the golfers' faults - good show, guys!
