Apparently, the temperature in the Scottish Higlands last night dropped to -22ºC, which was only 2ºC warmer than it was in the South Pole.
It's usually about -8 or -9ºC in Yorkshire overnight, which is warmer than most places in the UK, I think. I drove one of the cars for the first time today. Wasn't too bad. The councils have finally got their act together and have gritted and ploughed the roads.
