Not sure what it's been like recently but I went in 2008/2009 (I think) and it was superb. Quite a mission if you want to follow it though, we'd do 3 days which consisted on driving from Exeter to Manchester, Manchester to Scarborough, Scarborough to Dumfries, Dumfries to Manchester, Manchester to Exeter. Seem to remember that last year had a bit of a poor entry, mainly because people were worried about a repeat of the heavy snow in 2010 that resulted in some stages being cancelled.
