As someone who has specialized in Arabic studies, to a degree, I feel half qualified to speak on it with my own authority. I don't need someone else to tell me what to think.

We could do it in a more logical format though. Thousands took to the streets to celebrate the fall of the twin towers. It's quite easy to assume that for every person that was dancing in the street there are many times that many who held similar sentiments but didn't go out. This is an easy extrapolation.
1. Which arab countries did you visit ?

2. As someone who allegedly specialised in arab studies you should be aware that demonstrations in arab countries are almost always staged and very rarely spontaneous ( since most of the countries that we are talking about are police states who usually donīt allow ANY kind of demonstration)
And to "assume" something is not the same as presenting facts which you did not.
