As a modern pastiche of the original, it's far more effective than the 'new' Beetle or Mini, that's for sure. But I'd far rather see a proper new design becoming as undeniably iconic (what an overused word) as the original Stratos.

Whilst I agree with you on the Beetle and Mini, if the original was so perfect then why should they change the bits that make the original so perfect?

The Stratos still looks pretty futuristic which helps.
