Indeed, or they might even rush to get a piece of the action a.s.a.p. given how sales of the Playstation 3 took a major dive and have been weak since almost it's release while Microsoft is ahead mainly because of it's LIVE service and slashed prices (yet they said they never actually made profit from either the X-Box or X-Box 360 so far). I'm thinking if OnLive proves it can work, console manufacturers will sooner or laterer listen to the gaming community's plea for such a revolutionary shift and jump on board, just how music studios are now supporting iTunes etc. In the end they all make a lot more money from software sales than hardware i reckon.
They might decide to imitate/copy their idea but that might prove to be a lengthy procedure especially if OnLine have patented their services, being the first of their kind and all
