How was 2o6 kicking Steve? That's 2o6's opinion of Steve and likely why 2o6 doesn't agree with the petition. I fail to see how what 2o6 said constitutes as heavy-handed words.

That said, re-reading the OP, I fail to see how outing a troll in and of itself could possibly lead to a third strike; there's likely more to whatever went on, but that's a matter between Steve and the mod team and I don't quite feel that any of us are in any position to step in and interfere.
