Do you reckon this is climate change then?
I've been very scepitcal with global warming, I reckon there are a lot of environmentalists out there using anti-car properganda. I think cars haven't helped, but we would have had climate change anyway.. just a little later that's all.
You're kidding right? Global climatic change is a fact, not fiction. The most readily apparent cause is build-up of greenhouse gases, and one of the primary contributors to greenhouse gases are automobiles. none of this is about being an environmentalist or being pro or against cars. It is hard, measurable fact.
Sure factory output also puts out major amounts of pollution, as does fires from burning of forests. clearing of vast swaths of forests around the world are also limiting the ability of the planet to naturally re-absorb excess co2. at the end of the day, while it is possible that factory output and forest clearing will have eventually caused similar conditions, continued and increased use of automobiles running on fossil fuels have definitely exacerbated the problem.
