Frankly, a Subaru Legacy Wagon embodies everything I want in a car.
-Good Performance/Fun to drive (in GT form it does)
-Good Fuel Economy
-Safety
-Reliable
-Practical (plenty of room)
-Not too common
-Well laid out controls
-Affordable (both initial purchase and maintenance)
-Manual Tranny
Pretty much anything an average person would want in a daily, but isn't as common place as my beloved old Accord.
Granted I would be more than willing to sacrafice a few of those things for a weekend toy, like practicality for a first gen MX-5 or reliablity for a Scirocco or MKII GTI.
