50% Irish (father is from ireland)
50% decendant of a whole bunch of people from a whole lot of different places. Amongst them my mother's foreparents include people from (these are actual direct foreparents whom my family has mantained records of) Germany/France (alsace to be specific), Grenada, Jamaica, India, Panama, Spain, Cherokee (who can be traced to NC and then marched on the trail of tears to Oklahoma), Oklahoma/North Texas good'ole boy (who in turn were mostly of Irish decent), and quite likely your average Latin American spanish/native mestizo.
On my father's side I am technically 1st generation American (although he left Ireland as a very young boy and doesn't really remember living there). On my Mothers side, although she can trace her family in the american continents back a few hundred years, I am also, technically 1st generation (re-introduced) American.
BTW, My wife is Vietnamese of Chinese ancestry and was born in Laos.
