I have the exact same setup at home.
>Right click on the C Drive (or whatever hard drives you have). Go to Properties>Sharing and choose your options. Do this for both the computers, you can do this for any folder.
The folders should appear in my network places on both computers, transfer files that way. For printers, use the 'LAN/ home network' wizard are choose share printers, sorry, I forget most of this.
