This may be hard for you to imagine, but this is an adult party (white people call it a "cocktail party"). Everyone is of age and not necessarily interested in getting slammed, playing Wii and banging a fat girl on your vacationing parents' bed. I am pretty sure that these types of gatherings do not happen in Michigan or for 19 year olds. Double whammy for you.
