Iraq is still an expensive never ending disaster, no reliable uniform chain of command in it's 'Armed Forces', no air force, no sustainable political reconciliation, daily attacks on everything including American targets. more than 120000 usm and a higher number of security contractors. only sane option is to abandon it to it's indigenous militias instead of trying to maintain a level of control in the country which costs billions a month forever.
