It's because while everyone has different priorities, not everyone is intelligent and insightful enough to realise this.

Well, here's the thing about a watch. A quality semi luxury or full on luxury brand watch will last decades, if not longer. It will always be in style, and you can pass it down to your son and he can wear it, etc.

I initially see the issue with getting on someones case for spending 5 grand on a top of the line computer, or spending 5 grand on a watch. Thing is, that computer will be obsolete in 2 years, while you'll still have decades of value to be gaine from that watch. Just my 2 c.
