A perfect example of this kind of stupidity is an argument I had with BazerLace the other day where he thought it was stupid of me to spend a lot of money on clothes, while simultaneously trying to claim that spending three grand on a pushbike was actually a necessity. A lot of people just don't realise that because something isn't what they want to spend their disposable income in doesn't mean it is a dumb purchase. To an extent, all purchases made with disposable income are frivolities that nobody really needs. They just make us enjoy our own interests more.
