I hope its a 4 door our Almera is a 2 door putting the niece and nephew in the back is a serious pain in the ass.

Our car doesnt cost much a year -

£260 insurance fully comp
£30 m.o.t
Tax is free

So apart from petrol the car costs us under £300 a year though im probly gonna buy some new tyres this year so the cost will rise for this year.

Did you buy it outright? I think everybody is including finance/leasing costs so for a comparison you should spread the initial capital value across the effective ownership of the vehicle to get an equivalent cost.

If you didn't, include the annual finance cost and see that £300 rise!
