My advice? Get on an F-150 forum and ask them. THEY focus on the ford trucks. We don't.

Any other advice I have you probably won't want to hear, it won't be in your budget.

I found a site called fordtruckenthuiasts. Found some sound advice, based on thier recomendations I found a garage and great price for some work to be done. Ill let you know later how it all went.

And yeah, it would be sweet to have the kind of budget that would allow for whole new engine/drivetrain etc, but I would just get a whole new car if it came to that...which leads right back to not having that kind of budget
