I get that but it's not necessarily what happened to my shoes.

My response was more to this, which would be read as that's what happened to Bungle's iPad2 as well:

Stuff you buy oversea's can do this.

Back in '97 I had a workstation sent from Idaho, and managed to rack up >10,000 miles getting to WV.
