Default UK -Government reveals super-fast broadband plans
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-11922424

A recent study by the regulator Ofcom revealed that fewer than 1% of UK homes have a super-fast broadband connection, considered to be at least 24Mbps. That is pretty pathetic.. Never realised it was quite that poor

However, the government does not define the minimum speed it hopes super-fast services will achieve. What do you think? I bet it'll be 512k.
