Default Pet hate of the day
People with no patience or basic understanding. Yes, I appreciate the irony of the incomming whine.

So somone drops off a laptop, pretty basic fault but since we're queued up on the benches I say

"Please keep in mind we have a lot of work on today, I likely won't be able to look at it till late this evening, possibly tommorrow. We'll ring you as soon as we have some more information."

Easy enough, yes 30 minutes later the phone rings "Have you fixed my laptop yet?"

"No sir, we've not had time to look at it yet, I'll call you as soon as it's done."

Another 30 minutes: "Have you done my laptop yet?"

"No sir, as I said earlier, we're very busy we'll call you the moment it's been done."

Another 30 minutes, female voice "Hi, is mr ****'s computer fixed yet."

"No madam, as I explained to him, we're busy, we'll call you when it's done."

Just now: "Hi, you've had my PC all day and you've not called me? Is it done yet?"

I wish I could say

"Listen you neanderthal dipshit, you calling every half a ****ing hour to ask if it's done is making it take longer, because I have to keep stopping work to answer these pointless ****ing phonecalls. What part of "I will call you the second it's done" is so ****ing difficult to understand? If you call one more time JUST ONE MORE I will purposefully ignore your job until next week! And possibly fill it with jam!"

However, once again I had to go with "Not yet sir, I will call you as soon as it's done."

Right, that's my 10 minutes for lunch used up. Back to taking malware off peoples PC's who've "absolutely no idea how all this gay porn got on my PC".
