Unless you're actually going to take legal advice (which you're entitled to do) you're just being a tw*t.
I disagree. It's a perfectly valid response. If you contract with someone for a service, you're responsible for providing it.

If I hire "2 men and a van" I don't expect to be told a few days beforehand, that I need to rent the van for them.

This is why professionals always have backup tools, whatever they may be.

You don't really expect the doctor to ask you for a stethoscope at your physical, do you?
