I would have, but it's tricky with the factory integrated head unit thing, The 12v in the boot should only be active with car on i think.

you'll probably find that the socket is designed for low power drain items that stay on in the car like chillers etc and is constantly on (obviously Im throwing these Idears out there cos my cars rear 12v socket is constantly on (wont flatten battery unless somthing is plugged in to complete the circuit).
