Altavista was a site I used a lot around that time as well.

Doesn't quite trip off the tongue as well though lol

I remember using Webcrawler back it the days.
Then Digital came out with Altavista (altavista.digital.com, if I remember correctly) and blew it away.

Back to topic, It still amuses me that people still go to the search provider's homepage first to use the query entry box when the exact same box is already sitting on their toolbar [rolleyes] - btw, this is about people I know in real life, so don't get the hump if you think I'm calling out anyone here
