Just don't do anything stupid. You will go to jail and/or get your a$$es kicked. Don't carry a ton of cash on you. Stay in the well lit areas, at least somone might hear you scream, and care. The locals see you coming from a mile away.

Ha. And yeah just be careful. It is actually a surprisingly safe place to be on the strip. I never once was worried that something bad was going to happen. There are always a TON of people around so it is rare that you will ever be alone in some random dark alley or anything. And as it is an extremely new city there isn't much in the area that is rundown, dilapidated, things of that nature. As for the locals, they tend to avoid the strip like the plague. Aside from workers that are on the strip for obvious reasons I would say it is a fair estimate that 75% or more of people on the strip are tourists.

Most importantly in all of it have fun! There aren't many places around that you can walk around outside completely trashed and not be looked at and judged by other people. It is a surreal feeling walking around the strip drunk and just shooting **** with anybody that cares to vest any interest in you [thumbup] The majority of them are a lot of fun and will make your experience that much better. The last time I visited about 8 months ago I was drunk and overheard some Irish guys talking and misunderstood what they said, I then proceeded to threaten the three of them that I would punch them all in the jaw if they said that "Vegas girls are classy." In reality they said "trashy" all three of the guys that were a solid 6 inches taller and 75 pounds heavier than I was just looked at me and laughed until the one grabbed me and just dragged me along with them as they walked for a while because they liked my bluntness and wanted to show me how easy it was to pick up girls with an Irish accent [stupid]
