Play it down as much as you want, it still sends a message, we are still a target (USA).

I'm just glad it was poorly made, poorly thought out and poorly executed. I'm also glad we have people who report these things when they see something suspicious.
Sitting at home with the safety and leisure to think about it a bit more deeply (and look at the angles) it also occurs to me that the "Good Americans" who immediately reported the suspicious vehicle (within minutes) could in other circumstances have easily been the "Callous New Yorkers" who walked again and again past a dying good Samaritan on the street.

What made the difference? I wonder if its the fact that a bomb might be powerful enough to affect them personally, while a dying stranger on the street can be more easily ignored......

Just a theory, but still food for thought.
