I genuinely wanted to see the remake. Big fan of Freddy films, and will give the new freddy a chance.

A lot of people who I know who seen it, are claiming that the new guy is really really ****ing evil. Saying its much darker than the orginals.

I quite like the idea, Freddy became more a comedy act, which while the old formula worked, atleast for the first few films worked well, a more dark sadistic freddy would work better than simply trying to replicate that "comedy".
