Was anyone really expecting some oscar worthy acting in a horror flick?

The plot is the same as the original, only modernized (cell phones, computers etc...) but I watched this movie expecting it to be bad and it was better than I hoped.

Worth watching I think, but don't expect it to be the Dark Knight of Horror remakes.
