spoke to a officer he mention if i was to get a caution it should have been done at the time, i wasnt arrested and they need to prove i did the damage.
I would leave it at that then.

Seems the cops might have been waiting for you to admit you damaged the door and the caution threat might have been their way of trying to wrap up the incident.

Next time, you get problems, call the cops (which will quite likely result in them doing absolutely f*ck all about it), So just keep a written record of what happens, times etc, Maybe even take a sneaky video through the curtains or record the noise etc.

Then after several months, present it to the council/landlord and see what happens then.

Or just murder your hideous neighbours and hide them under your new patio.
