unfortunately the case was mishandled from the get go. The original investigating police officer early on said "she is just a drunk bitch" and then proceeded to get big bens autograph (no joke). He has since resigned. The bartender, when asked by the girls friends said there was nothing he could do, when they told him they were being blocked by Bens guards, and they were worried about their friend. That leaves the case a he said/she said... and ben would have a cadre of top flight lawyers to wipe the floor with that small towns DA.

At least the NFL IS doing something Red_Dog. Michael Vick served time and a suspension on top plus had to forfeit ~20million dollars. Big Ben has been accused twice in the last year of rape, and, I know this might be shocking to you, but most people find rape worse then dog fighting. Maybe the law couldn't find enough evidence or willing witnesses to give Ben his due. The NFL, however, does not have such high standards of proof when it comes to a player willingly putting themselves in situations that turn out bad 99% of the time. This certainly qualifies as a player putting themselves in a situation where they will cause themselves and the NFL embarrassment/bad publicity.
WOW,it's pretty sad that if you're rich and famous enough you can get away with some stuff that'd get normal people locked up for years.

If I had anything to do with it I wouldn't just trade him he'd be fired and I'd pay the legal fee's for the young woman who got raped.
