Child support should be monitored. The person receiving the child support should have to account for every cent spent. If the courts see they are wasting the money on manicures and shopping trips, the amount paid should be lowered. Child support isn't alimony. The system isn't fair to either side. It took my mother years to get the "sperm donor" to pay up child support. If it wasn't for the government automatically taking the child support off of his pay check she never would have seen a cent.

Some good friends that I grew up with never saw anything from their dead beat dad. He lived 15 minutes away and hasn't seen his kids in 15 years. He got away with not paying any child support because he was self employed. He would tell the government he made no money so they didn't have anything to charge him.
