normally when a key fob battery dies the whole lot dies, but some can be reinitialized (imagine it like a blue tooth device) you re-pair them and voila and its usually done by pressing the buttons it a sequence
No! Battery is not an issue, I've had the battery fail on the fob within the last 2 months, I replaced it and it worked off that bat. I know how to re-synch the fob as well but it's just not working. I need to know how to remove the whole system.

Hell, I leave my car unlocked most nights and my insurance doesn't cover me for theft because I cannot give them details of the system and I can't speak Jap to ask the previous owner.

I just need to start the fecker; it seems as if the system relays before the starter motor as it does not turn over and you can hear it over-riding.

Surely, amongst the many members we have we must have at least someone who can give me a basic wiring diagram diagnosis; I know how wires work, I just need to know what to remove from where.
