8 hours on an Aspire One from a 12cell seems very poor compared to what other netbooks get from 4-6 cells. My Dell 13z for example was averaging 4-5 hours on a 4 cell battery and gets 8-10 hours from the 8cell upgrade and only sticks out 1cm extra at the back. That's running Wireless N all the time, Win7 x64 and general browsing/movies etc.
