When my low fuel indicator light goes off, I know I have a little under half a tank of gas left. So I ignore it. I know when my fuel gauge shows empty, I have 4 gallons left. So I ignore it for a little longer. Today I learned how to tell when I really am out of gas: when the only way my car moves is in neutral, when I am pushing it or it is going down hill.

See, if my low fuel indicator and fuel gauge were actually accurate, I would listen to it. That's why running out of gas was totally not my fault.
