It doesn't surprise me.

Feminization of fish species has been known of for awhile, evidently due to pollution of water with oral contraceptives. And feminization of male humans is slowly becoming a real problem.

At this point I would not recommend that anyone use untreated tap water to cook with or as drinking water, for pregnant women, or (to a lesser extent) young boys. At a minimum an activated carbon filter should be used to remove steroids from the water before using.
